Douglas Byrd High School (DBHS) Parent Academy Program is designed especially for parents/guardians of children that attend DBHS. The program will provide families with the necessary tools to support and empower them to support the success of their child’s academic and social-emotional well-being. The goal is to bring the school, parents/guardians, families, partners and community organizations together as equal partners thereby increasing the capacity for our students to succeed.

Engaging and informative topics will be presented.  We will offer 4 free workshops over the course of the school year (2018-2019) that will be interactive.  Our first workshop will be held here at Douglas Byrd High School Media Center on October 16, 2018 from 6:30-7:30.  The first session is titled Embrace Your Space: “I’m a Parent and I don’t know it all”.

To find out more about Parent Academy, please contact Mrs. Sharon Bailey, Parent Facilitator at 910-484-8121 or via email Sharon Bailey
