Catherine W. received scholarship to Wake Forest University.
Douglas Byrd High School Senior Catherine W. has received a Financial Aid package to Wake Forest University, without the need for student loans.  Her aid package includes the Pell Grant.  The total aid amount Catherine is to receive per year is $71, 000.  Please congratulate Catherine when you see her. Some Douglas Byrd High School students participated in the National Student Walk Out Day on March 14, 2018, for 17 minutes in recognition of the seventeen students who lost their lives at Stoneman Douglas High School and for stricter gun control laws.

The Class of 2018 will have a Mandatory Senior Parent Meeting on Wednesday, March 14 at 6 p.m. Graduation procedures, dress code, and other pertinent information will be discussed. Josten's will also be on site to deliver previously purchased cap and gowns and to take orders (cap and gown only).
