Trying different things can appear challenging such as being a new student at a school or taking a class for the first time. You have to be patient when introducing new things. The same goes for food. It may take more than a few tries for a child to accept an unfamiliar item. Check out these Resources for picky eaters and Handling a “choosy” eater. National Teen Pregnancy Prevention Month T-shirt design winner.Cumberland County Department of Public Health (CCDPH) along with its partners, Cumberland County Schools and Foxy 99, promoted its annual T-shirt design contest. Three schools are picked each year to participate and students are asked to come up with a design promoting National Teen Pregnancy Prevention Month. Congratulations to Na’tika Chandler of Douglas Byrd High School, one of the 2017 winning students, designed this year’s t-shirt slogans. Winning students received a monetary gift and the opportunity to record a public service announcement at a local radio station. The winner’s class, teacher, and principal received a t-shirt with the winning design printed on the back. See pictures of our 2017 winning designs.
