Rachel TurnerThis year’s YEA! winner, who will represent Fayetteville in the regional competition later this year, is Rachel Turner from Douglas Byrd High School. Turner started Elle N. Rae Fragrance House and produces quality sugar scrubs to provide safe and effective cleaning. She received $2,500 in funding, which has to be applied to her business startup expenses.

Wounded Warrior T-Shirt

 

 

This year Douglas Byrd Athletics has partnered with the Wounded Warrior Project to help raise funds to support our wounded soldiers.  As part of this partnership we will be selling a Douglas Byrd Athletics military appreciation shirt.  The cost for this shirt is $20 with all proceeds going to support the WWP.  Shirts will be available for purchase in the front office and at all home football games this season.  Thank you for your support!

Screencast Workshop

Would you like to know more about using screencasting programs in your class but don’t have the time needed to commit to an in depth professional development session? If so, this session is for you!
November 12th at Massey Hill High School, Ms. Caroline Sanchez will host a session from 4:00-5:30. This session is a single session and won’t be enough to provide CEU credit; but will provide novices and experienced screencasters of all grade levels and subject areas with practical tips for screencasting applications in the classroom!
