The College Board is offering a free November SAT registration and CSS Profile™ fee waiver to students in a FEMA-designated area. Scroll down for the list of FEMA counties. We know this is a difficult time and hope this measure helps students struggling as a result of the storms.

Students should register for the November SAT (by October 24 online, by October 16 mailed) and then call Customer Service at 866-756-7346 by October 24 to receive a refund.
For the CSS Profile fee waiver, go to cssprofile.org and complete the application. The system automatically applies eligibility rules. Call CSS Profile Customer Service at 844-202-0524.

On Saturday, October 13th the Douglas Byrd Eagle Regiment placed 1st out of 5 bands in Class 1-A in every category at the 22nd Annual South View High School Rumble in the Jungle. On Saturday, October 13th the Douglas Byrd Eagle Regiment placed 1st out of 5 bands in Class 1A in every category at the 22nd Annual South View High School Rumble in the Jungle.  This is the 5th 1st place finish in the past 7 competitions for the marching band over the past 3 seasons and the Byrd drumline extends their winning streak to 7 over the past 3 years as well. The band will compete again on Oct. 20th at Triton High School.  Thomas Stovall, Director of Bands

INCLEMENT WEATHER ALERTFayetteville, NC – The Cumberland County Schools (CCS) is working closely with Cumberland County Emergency Management to monitor the path of Hurricane Michael. The safety of students and staff is our top priority.

Based on the State of Emergency issued by Governor Roy Cooper and information received from the National Weather Service regarding the storm’s possible impact on Cumberland County, the CCS will be closed on Thursday, October 11, for all staff and students (Option D). All after-school activities, events and athletic events are canceled on October 11.
