CLASS OF 2020  It’s almost graduation time! We need your help in completing the attached Senior Exit Survey. The information requested in the form is very important and should be completed accurately and in its entirety. If you are planning to attend a college or university in the Fall please make sure you list the school so we know where to send your final transcripts when the time comes.  Let us know if you have any questions about the form. We really appreciate you helping us gather this information!  Senior Survey
Senior Search for College $$$ Should Resume — As seniors adjust to learning at home, they should not forget to spend some time searching and applying for scholarships! CCS’ Counseling Office has suggested the following resources in their search:

1. Contact your School Counselor – School Counselors are just an email, phone call, or Google Classroom away.
2. Visit Cumberland County Schools’ Scholarship page, which provides links for different types of scholarships for a range of students, at Cumberland County Schools’ Scholarship Page
3. Visit the College Foundation of North Carolina (CFNC) website. CFNC is a non-profit organization that works with North Carolina students to help prepare them for the future. As a part of their services, they provide information about financial aid, grants, and scholarships. To learn more, visit the following link: College Foundation of North Carolina (CFNC)
4. Explore scholarship search engines. There are many other scholarship sites that ask students to create profiles. Based on their answers, scholarships will be identified that the student may be eligible to receive. These websites include the following: My Scholly,  FastWebCappexUnigo
5. Explore scholarship opportunities where the student has been accepted. Take a look at your future college/university’s financial aid website. Many schools have their own scholarships that students can apply for; however, those deadlines come early and some may have already passed.
6.Read the following article if you are senior who is uncertain of where to start in searching for scholarships: Scholarship Platforms – What Do I Need to Know?Finding and Applying for Scholarships
Finally, the CCS’ Counselors Office is requesting that seniors who have been awarded scholarship monies, please share that information with Counselor Coordinator Kristen Newitt.
