* Must be a high school student planning to enroll in Fall of 2018 to a University or Community College.
* Must submit a completed FALL-IN MC 2018 Scholarship Application by June 2, 2018
* Must have a minimum of 3.0 Grade Point Average
* Must be from a lower income or high-risk community and demonstrate financial need
* Must have completed 25 hours of community service and document on community service form included in application packet.

If so, the Future Educators Program might be for you!  The Future Educators Program is a recruitment initiative aimed at developing CCS’ internal student talent. Future Educators participants are CCS high school graduates who intend to pursue careers in education and who plan to commit to teaching with CCS upon completion of an educator preparation program.

Eligibility Requirements:  Future Educators Flyer
* Must be a CCS high school senior
* Gain admittance to a college or university with a NC accredited Educator Preparation Program for the Fall 2018 semester
* Intend to pursue a K-12 teaching career with Cumberland County Schools

Future Educators participants will receive:  CCS Future Educators Program – Fact Sheet.docx – Google Docs
* Annual summer professional development with a $1000 stipend, beginning the summer following the freshman
year of college through the summer of their senior year
* An early employment contract for 3 years (with successful teacher evaluations)
* The opportunity to develop a professional network with CCS staff and peers

Transportation may be provided.  Free Coding Camp


Image of a boy holding a pencil.Career & Technical Education Scholarship Program – priority deadline June 15, 2017.  This scholarship will award up to 1020 scholars with each scholarship providing up to $2500 in scholarship funds. Students attending not for profit institutions (community colleges or technical schools) are eligible to apply if pursuing a CTE degree or certificate. Awarded students may request $625 for each eligible semester enrolled to be used for tuition, fees, books, and supplies.  To learn more about the CTE scholarship or to apply online, students should visit

Cumberland Community Foundation manages more than 50 scholarship endowment funds created by local individuals, families, and corporations who want to provide a path to higher education for future generations. Students meeting the general criteria below are eligible to apply:
* Resident of Cumberland County (unless otherwise noted in the scholarship description)
* Will attend college, university, vocational or technical institutions as a full-time student in the fall or within six months following the award
* Academic achievement and potential as indicated by class rank, GPA, and/or standardized test scores (SAT or ACT)
* Financial need (unless otherwise noted in the scholarship description)

Image of a boy holding a pencil.UEW Healthcare EEOICPA Scholarship is available to any High School senior nationwide who will be attending college fall semester of 2018. Special consideration will be given to an undergraduate who is interested in pursuing a career in Home Healthcare and knows someone that worked in the nuclear industry and was subsequently approved for benefits under the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program (EEOICPA), but anyone meeting the requirements & can demonstrate an interested in pursuing a career in Healthcare will be considered. The Scholarship will be judged on merit and need, Academic achievements, as well as any leadership experiences, will be taken in to account. Must have a minimum G.P.A. of 3.0  Deadline: July 31, 2018  Award Amount: $1000  Click here for Application
