Attention 10th and 11th-grade students. If you are interested in taking FTCC classes next year, your paperwork is due no later than Wednesday, April 12th. If you are currently taking FTCC classes and want to continue taking them next year, you need to update your paperwork. Please see Ms. Matthews in Student Services for questions as soon as possible.
Attention Students!!! Starting today and lasting through April 13th you can return your overdue books and all late fees will be waived! We encouraged everyone to return their overdue books so they can get back to discovering all that the library has to offer, and so others can ENJOY these books.
Calling all Biology Students! It is that time of the year. Starting Monday, April 24th ( the day after Spring Break) Mrs. Shook and Ms. Hilscher will start holding Biology EOC Remediation after school from 3:35-4:15 on Mondays and Wednesdays. Any questions, please see Mrs. Shook or Ms. Hilscher.
The Douglas Byrd High School Gospel Choir will rehearse on Monday, April 24, 2017 and Thursday, April 27, 2017 in Room 111 from 3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. Please make sure your ride home will arrive no later than 4:45 p.m. For more information see Ms. Farmer in the General Purpose Lab – Room 126.
Seniors, if you have not ordered your cap and gown, you need to order them TODAY! Jostens will be here May 3rd to make the last delivery of cap and gowns before graduation. If you do not order now, you may not have your cap and gown in time for graduation. Go to Jostens.com to place your order. See Ms. Matthews in Student Services for questions.
Junior dues ($50.00) Junior dues pay for prom. All juniors must pay junior dues regardless if they attend prom or not. Junior dues must also be paid in order to participate in any senior activities, to receive a t-shirt, a yearbook, and to participate in the graduation ceremony their senior year. Senior dues ($105.00) The senior dues cover the cost of all senior activities, a senior t-shirt, a yearbook, and graduation. Senior and junior dues must be paid in full to attend prom, to participate in senior activities, to receive a senior t-shirt, yearbook, and the graduation ceremony. Senior dues DO NOT include the cap and gown for graduation. Junior and senior dues should be given to Mrs. Burnette in the upstairs media center. Payments for dues can be made in cash or money order only. Please make money orders out to DBHS. NO PERSONAL CHECKS!

R.U.S.H. meet on Tuesdays in Room 119 at 3:45 p.m. R.U.S.H. is a student-led, Christian Club that empowers students to put their faith into action to change their school.
